GT Software Teams with Primeur to Extend Reach in Europe

Ivory is an integrated toolset that enables rapid integration of mainframe assets

GT Software, a provider of integration solutions that leverage mainframe resources, on Tuesday announced an international distribution agreement for the company’s Ivory Service Architect product line with Primeur. A multinational producer of middleware solutions for distributed and heterogeneous IT systems, Primeur will represent the GT Software Ivory solutions suite in the Italian and Spanish markets.

Primeur is a leader in managed file transfer, end-to-end security and governance. With more than 500 customers worldwide, it has branches and distributors in Europe, United States, South America and Asia Pacific.

Ivory is an integrated toolset that enables rapid integration of mainframe assets leveraging companies' investments in applications and data. A proven solution in the most demanding of applications infrastructures, Ivory enables developers to quickly and easily create and publish Web services, developing right-sized composite business services with little or no training.

Ivory supports deployment of mainframe-based Web services across the widest range of platforms, including zLinux and zIIP and zAAP specialty engines, giving organizations broad flexibility in where they choose to house integration-related workload.

“The development, deployment, administration and management of enterprise applications integration must be a primary goal of today's IT organizations. These enterprises require robust, proven solutions in order to succeed,” said Paolo Chieregatti, Mainframe Competence Center Leader at Primeur. "With our concentration on service oriented architecture and Web services, we only seek partnerships with companies that have a history of success in mainframe integration. With Ivory Service Architect, GT Software leads the way in enabling the integration of legacy mainframe applications with Web services, and they represent an outstanding opportunity for expansion.”

Primeur is an IBM Premier Business Partner particularly active on IBM WebSphere, Tivoli, Rational and Information Management platforms. In addition, it provides software and services for SOA (Service Oriented Architecture), communication middleware, legacy application integration and data security.

“Primeur’s in-depth mainframe experience, strong customer base in the financial services industry, and intimate knowledge of the underpinnings of Web services, make them an ideal partner,” said Wilson Rains, vice president of global alliances for GT Software. “Paolo Chieregatti's white papers on CICS and Web services are referenced worldwide, and firmly establish Primeur as a source of expertise. Primeur is well trusted in Europe as a mainframe integration technology innovator, and we are excited to partner with them to bring the Ivory mainframe integration solutions to this market.”
